Low student motivation in history classes remains a challenge. The use of learning media that tends to be conventional and lacks interactivity is one of the main causes. Previous research has developed e-modules based on Canva and Heyzine, but their application has generally been limited to science subjects. These two platforms have not yet been widely integrated together in history classes at vocational high schools. This study aims to develop a Canva-Heyzine-based History Flipbook E-Module and to test its feasibility and effectiveness in increasing students’ learning motivation. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on the ADDIE model, which includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, expert validation, and a learning motivation questionnaire. The data were then analyzed using validity and reliability tests, a one-sample t-test, and effect size calculations. The results of the effectiveness test also showed a significant effect on students’ learning motivation, with a significance value of less than 0.001. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an interactive flipbook-style history learning medium that integrates Canva and Heyzine, thereby combining visuals, multimedia, and digital navigation in accordance with the characteristics of vocational high school students. This study contributes to the development of technology-based history learning media. Another contribution is supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum through more interactive, self-directed, and meaningful learning. The implications of this study indicate that the Canva-Heyzine-based Flipbook E-Module can serve as an alternative digital learning medium to enhance students’ learning motivation in history.
