THE INFLUENCE OF THE STAD TYPE COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL WITH QUIZWHIZZER MEDIA ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES AT SMA NEGERI 1 KUBU BABUSSALAM

This study aims to determine the effect of using the STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Divisions) cooperative learning model combined with Quizwhizzer media on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Kubu Babussalam. A quantitative method was employed using a quasi-experimental design—specifically, a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes: class XI F2 (36 students) served as the experimental group, utilizing the STAD model with Quizwhizzer media, while class XI F4 (36 students) served as the control group, utilizing a conventional teaching model. Data collection instruments included pre-tests and post-tests to measure student learning outcomes. Data analysis revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group. This was evidenced by an average post-test score of 86.50 for the experimental group, versus 73.00 for the control group. Hypothesis testing using a t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, indicating a significant effect resulting from the intervention. Furthermore, the N-Gain test produced a score of 0.62—falling into the "medium" category—which demonstrates the model's effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes. In conclusion, the combination of the STAD cooperative learning model and Quizwhizzer interactive media positively enhanced student engagement, enthusiasm, and learning outcomes in the history subject.
