EKSPLORASI MOTIF OLAHRAGA PEMUDA: PERBANDINGAN BERDASARKAN GENDER

Abstract

Latihan fisik telah menjadi isu penting secara sosial dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Kurangnya motivasi menjadi salah satu alasan utama kurangnya aktivitas fisik. Hal ini sangat penting karena pemenuhan motif dianggap sebagai salah satu langkah signifikan menuju olahraga dan latihan yang terpelihara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplor motif olahraga pemuda dengan cara membandingkannya melalui gender. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah warga kabupaten bogor. Teknik sampling menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria sampel yaitu pemuda berusia 15-24 tahun yang berdomisili Kabupaten Bogor. Teknik pengolahan data dengan uji statistik deskriptif (frekuensi, mean) dan statistik inferensial (uji t, analisis varians [ANOVA]). Jenis kelamin berfungsi sebagai variabel independen, dan 14 subskala adalah variabel dependen. ANOVA menentukan perbedaan motivasi berdasarkan jenis kelamin.  Hasil penelitian ini adalah motif olahraga pemuda laki-laki dan perempuan secara berurutan yaitu untuk 1)Kebugaran, 2)Kesehatan, 3)Psikologis, 4)Tubuh, dan 5)Interpersonal. Terdapat perbedaan pada motif kebugaran, interpersonal, dan psikologis antara pemuda laki-laki dan perempuan. Laki-laki lebih mengutamakan motif psikologis sedangkan perempuan lebih mengutamakan motif kesehatan. Pemuda laki-laki dan perempuan tidak memiliki perbedaan dalam hal motivasi instrinsik dan ekstrinsik, keduanya lebih mengutamakan motivasi intrinsik dibandingkan motivasi ekstrinsik. Tingkat motivasi olahraga pemuda laki-laki  lebih tinggi dibanding tingkat motivasi olahraga pemuda perempuan.
