Ganoderma boninense merupakan jamur penyebab penyakit busuk pangkal batang pada kelapa sawit yang mengakibatkan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup besar, khususnya di perkebunan kelapa sawit. Berbagai strategi pengendalian telah dilakukan, dengan menggunakan zat-zat kimia dan metabolit mikroba. Asam siringat yang merupakan senyawa fenolik, telah menunjukkan aktivitas antijamur yang signifikan, menghambat pertumbuhan patogen G. boninense. Senyawa ini memberikan efeknya dengan mengganggu integritas membran sel jamur, yang menyebabkan kebocoran komponen penting seperti asam amino dan ion. Gangguan ini merusak fungsi vital sel jamur, yang pada akhirnya mengakibatkan kematian sel. Mengingat sifat antimikroba dan antijamurnya, asam siringat sebagai agen bioaktif untuk pengendalian biologis patogen tanaman. Selain itu, asam siringat juga memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan kemanjuran agen pengendali hayati lainnya, menjadikannya alternatif yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan untuk pengendalian hama di bidang pertanian. Naskah review ini bertujuan untuk mendalami potensi asam siringat sebagai agen antijamur dalam menghambat pertumbuhan G. boninense.
