Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Journal Zetroem applies a two-stage review process.

Stage 1: Initial Screening

The first stage is an initial screening conducted by the Editor-in-Chief. At this stage, the manuscript will be evaluated for plagiarism and article structure. If the plagiarism score detected by a plagiarism detection tool exceeds 20%, the manuscript will be rejected. In addition, the manuscript structure must follow the journal template.

Stage 2: Editorial and Content Review

The second stage consists of an editorial and content review conducted by editors and peer reviewers. The editor will review the following aspects:

  • The consistency of the content in each section with its corresponding heading

  • The clarity and quality of figures and tables

  • The correctness of reference numbering in the main text

ZETROEM implements a double-blind peer review process for the evaluation of manuscript content. In this process, the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers, and the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors. Each manuscript will be assigned to a reviewer for evaluation.

The manuscript will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  1. Relevance of the article to the Focus and Scope of ZETROEM

  2. Significance and attractiveness of the study for publication

  3. Novelty of the research content

  4. Clarity of the research gap

  5. Appropriateness of the research methodology to the objectives

  6. Quality and quantity of data used to support conclusions

  7. Appropriateness of statistical analysis used in the article

  8. Relevance between references and the research content

  9. Quality and clarity of figures and tables

  10. Overall reliability and contribution of the article

The final decision regarding the acceptance of each manuscript will be made based on the reviewers’ comments. The manuscript may be returned to the authors for revision according to the comments and suggestions from the editors and reviewers.

Both review stages are expected to be completed within 30 to 60 days for each submitted manuscript.

Accepted research articles will be published online and will be freely accessible for download.

All articles published under the Open Access policy are immediately and permanently free for anyone to read and download.
