Abstract

Barong Tresno Budoyo in Kemiren is the only art group that still exists today. This art has developed to this day and is now more rapid so that many have founded the barong group. The Barong has a sacred function, according to the big Indonesian dictionary, sacred is sacred, sacred itself has a sacred and auspicious meaning which can give magical and physical effects to other parties (about object or holy place) The art of Barong Kemiren Banyuwangi is one of the traditional rituals of the Using community in Blambangan, which is located in Kemiren Village. This ritual is both sacred and mystical. One of the uniqueness of Barong Ider Bumi and a source of pride for the Using community is "trance". The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely by describing and describing the aspects under study. Qualitative research data obtained in the form of words through information from the supporters. Descriptive method is a data collection technique in the form of words, pictures, and not numbers. The data collected can be in the form of interview scripts, field notes, photos, videotapes, personal documentation, notes or memos, and other official documentation.
