DESAIN DAN PENGEMBANGAN PEMBAKARAN LIMBAH MINYAK DENGAN KAPASITAS 100 KG

Permasalahan sampah, khususnya anorganik, di lingkungan kampus memerlukan solusi pengolahan yang efektif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang, membangun, dan menguji kinerja sebuah incinerator skala kecil berkapasitas 100 kg yang menggunakan limbah oli bekas sebagai bahan bakar utama, dilengkapi dengan sistem pembakaran kompor jet (jet stove). Metode penelitian berupa eksperimental dengan tahapan perancangan, fabrikasi, dan pengujian. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan incinerator beroperasi dengan suhu rata-rata tertinggi pada ruang bakar (tungku) sebesar 564.8°C, konsumsi bahan bakar oli sebesar 0.34 liter/menit, dan menghasilkan residu berupa arang (12.07%) serta abu (5.65%) dari sampah awal 1.5 kg. Efisiensi pembakaran yang dicapai sebesar 82.27%. Alat ini berpotensi menjadi solusi pengelolaan sampah mandiri di tingkat institusi dengan memanfaatkan limbah B3 (oli bekas) menjadi sumber energi.
