Information For Authors

Before Submitting a Manuscript

Authors should ensure that their manuscript is relevant to the aims and scope of JEBENG and has been prepared according to the journal's writing and formatting requirements.

The manuscript should represent original scholarly work and should not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information, data, references, authorship, and other materials included in the manuscript.

Before submission, authors are strongly encouraged to carefully read the Author Guidelines and prepare their manuscript using the official JEBENG Article Template.

Online Submission Procedure

All manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the JEBENG Online Journal System. Authors must have an account before submitting a manuscript.

  1. Create an Account — New authors should register through the journal website and complete the required profile information, particularly the author's full name, affiliation, country, and active email address. Register as an Author
  2. Login to the Journal System — Authors who already have an account can log in using their registered username and password. Login to OJS
  3. Start a New Submission — After logging in, access the author dashboard and select New Submission. Select the appropriate journal section and complete the submission requirements and checklist.
  4. Upload the Manuscript — Upload the manuscript prepared according to the official JEBENG template. Supplementary documents may also be uploaded when required by the editorial team.
  5. Complete the Metadata — Authors should carefully enter the article title, abstract, keywords, author and co-author information, affiliations, corresponding author information, references, and other required metadata. Ensure that the metadata entered into OJS is consistent with the manuscript.
  6. Review and Submit — Review all uploaded files and metadata before completing the submission. Once everything is correct, confirm the submission. Authors can subsequently monitor the editorial and peer-review process through their OJS account.

Authors should not create a duplicate submission for the same manuscript. Any corrections or revisions requested by the editorial team should be uploaded through the existing submission record.

Manuscript Preparation

Authors should use the official JEBENG Article Template when preparing their manuscript. The template serves as the primary reference for article structure, typography, headings, tables, figures, citations, references, and other formatting requirements.

The manuscript should contain complete and accurate author information. Authors should also ensure that tables, figures, illustrations, citations, and references are properly presented and that all sources used in the manuscript are appropriately acknowledged.

The editorial team may return manuscripts to authors for technical revision before peer review if the manuscript does not comply with the journal's formatting requirements or official template.

Author Responsibility and Publication Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and academic integrity of their submissions. Data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate authorship, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct are inconsistent with responsible scholarly publishing.

All individuals listed as authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the manuscript and should approve the submitted version. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial team during the submission, review, revision, and publication processes.

Authors should disclose any relevant conflicts of interest or other circumstances that may influence the interpretation of the research when applicable.

Editorial and Peer-Review Process

Submitted manuscripts will first undergo an editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's scope, completeness, and compliance with submission requirements.

Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation may proceed to the peer-review process. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts according to comments from editors and reviewers.

A request for revision does not automatically guarantee acceptance. The final publication decision remains subject to the results of editorial assessment and peer review.

Authors should respond carefully to editorial and reviewer comments and upload revised manuscripts through the OJS submission system.

Author Privacy Statement

JEBENG respects the privacy of authors and users of its online journal system.

Names, email addresses, affiliations, correspondence details, and other personal information entered into this journal website will be used exclusively for purposes directly related to journal administration, manuscript submission, editorial assessment, peer review, scholarly communication, publication, indexing, and other legitimate academic publishing activities.

Personal information will not be sold, distributed, or used for unrelated commercial purposes. Access to non-public author information will be limited to authorized editorial personnel and other parties involved in the publication process when such access is necessary to perform their responsibilities.

Information that forms part of the scholarly publication record, including author names, affiliations, corresponding author information, and other information normally displayed in published articles, may be made publicly available as part of the article publication and dissemination process.

By registering an account or submitting a manuscript through JEBENG, authors acknowledge that their personal information may be processed for purposes necessary to manage the journal's scholarly publishing activities.

 

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is an unethical practice of copying ideas, processes, results, or words of others without explicitly citing the original source and author. Self-plagiarism occurs when an author reuses substantial parts of their previously published work without proper citation. This may range from submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals to modifying a previously published manuscript with only minor new data.

Types Of Plagiarism

1. Full Plagiarism:
Content previously published without any modification to text, ideas, or grammar is considered full plagiarism. This involves presenting identical text from a source as if it were the author’s original work.

2. Partial Plagiarism:
If the content is a combination of multiple sources, where the author has extensively modified the text, it is considered partial plagiarism.

3. Self-Plagiarism:
When an author reuses all or part of their previously published research without proper citation, it is regarded as self-plagiarism. Complete self-plagiarism occurs when an author republishes their previously published work in a new journal.

Important Notes

  1. Full plagiarism, partial plagiarism, and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited.

  2. Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original, and any use of others’ work and/or words must be properly cited or quoted.

  3. Authors should not submit manuscripts that essentially report the same research to more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

  4. Proper acknowledgment of others’ work must always be provided. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the nature of the reported work.

Plagiarism Screening

Plagiarism is assessed during the initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief using Turnitin. Manuscripts must have a similarity score of less than 25% to proceed to further review. Manuscripts with a similarity score exceeding 25% will be rejected.
