Fossil energy will also be increasingly limited in the future due to increased energy use, so a transition to new renewable energy is needed. Indonesia has considerable potential in New Renewable Energy, but the utilization and understanding of New Renewable Energy among the public remain low. The renewable energy was only 13,09% in 2023. This is due to Indonesia’s continued focus on fossil energy. Through this Service Program, it aims to socialize the potential and utilization of New Renewable Energy in Indonesia, especially in the samarinda area. The stages of this program include discussion and socialization of the potential amount of New Renewable Energy in Samarinda that can be utilized for energy needs among the community. This program provides understanding and awareness to the public about the importance of transitioning to New Renewable Energy and creating a commitment between the city government and the community regarding the transition to New Renewable Energy. This activity is expected to be the beginning of a change in the use of energy sources to create more environmentally friendly environmental conditions.
Resty Intan Putri, Nur Alham, Tantra Larasati, Ananta Fathurrozi, Lucia Respati Copyright (c) 2025 Resty Intan Putri, Nur Alham, Tantra Larasati, Ananta Fathurrozi, Lucia Respati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unibabwi.ac.id/index.php/tekiba/article/view/4646 Thu, 20 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Si EMIL (Electric Maternity Belt) Untuk Monitoring Kesejahteraan Janin Dan Ibu Hamil 0-9 Bulan https://ejournal.unibabwi.ac.id/index.php/tekiba/article/view/4600
Electric Maternity Belt for monitoring fetal and pregnant women well-being project is an initiative aimed at addressing the issue of inadequate fetal health monitoring in remote or underserved areas. Many expectant mothers face challenges in accessing timely prenatal care, which increases the risks of complications during pregnancy. This project developed an innovative, affordable, and easy-to-use maternity belt equipped with sensors to monitor the fetal heart rate, movement, and uterine contractions, providing real-time data to healthcare providers. The method involves collaboration with local health centers to test and refine the prototype. The maternity belt was introduced to rural clinics and tested on a sample of pregnant women, with training sessions for healthcare staff on how to operate the device. The results showed that the device successfully detected fetal abnormalities, allowing for early intervention and reducing maternal anxiety. Moreover, it contributed to the improvement of healthcare access by enabling remote monitoring, even in areas with limited medical resources. The primary output of this project is a functional prototype that can be mass-produced and distributed to remote areas, helping to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. The project’s contribution lies in its ability to bridge the gap between modern healthcare technology and rural communities, providing an affordable, efficient, and reliable solution for maternal and fetal health monitoring.
Heni Purwaningsih, Nurul Istiqomah, Eko Nugroho, Tria Puspitasari, Hery Siswanto Copyright (c) 2025 Heni Purwaningsih, Nurul Istiqomah, Eko Nugroho, Tria Puspitasari, Hery Siswanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unibabwi.ac.id/index.php/tekiba/article/view/4600 Fri, 25 Apr 2025 15:47:22 +0000 Penerapan Teknologi Pengolahan Sampah Melalui Kuliah Kerja Nyata Terpadu Di Desa Kotaraya Tenggara https://ejournal.unibabwi.ac.id/index.php/tekiba/article/view/5226
KKNT students are given the opportunity to solve problems in the community. Waste that is not managed properly can pollute the environment, while used oil that is disposed of carelessly has the potential to pollute soil and water. This research aims to design and test a used oil-fueled garbage burner as a solution in reducing environmental impacts. The research method used is the experimental method, which includes designing, manufacturing, and testing the burner. Tests were conducted to measure combustion efficiency, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions. Data were collected through direct observation and quantitative analysis using a gas analyzer to measure the levels of CO, CO₂, SO₂, NOx, and particulates produced. The results show that this device is able to burn waste more efficiently than conventional methods. The use of used oil as an alternative fuel also helps reduce oil waste that is harmful to the environment. However, although the burner significantly reduced the volume of waste, the exhaust gas analysis showed that improvements in the emission filtering system are still needed to minimize the impact of air pollution. In conclusion, the used oil-fueled waste burner can be an innovative solution in waste and waste oil management, but it needs further development to improve its environmentally friendly aspects. The recommendation of this research is the implementation of an exhaust gas filtration system as well as further testing to adapt the appliance to applicable environmental standards.
Riska Fita Lestari, Ratna Mustika Yasi, Adi Mulyadi, Lutfi Irawan Rahmat, Muhamad Khoirul Anam, Ma’ruf Amin Copyright (c) 2025 Riska Fita Lestari, Ratna Mustika Yasi, Adi Mulyadi, Lutfi Irawan Rahmat, Muhamad Khoirul Anam, Ma’ruf Amin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unibabwi.ac.id/index.php/tekiba/article/view/5112 Sat, 26 Apr 2025 12:20:33 +0000
