It acts as guidance for novice as well as senior teachers. Therefore, the researchers were interested in conducting a textbook evaluation on an English textbook entitled “English for Change” used by eleventh graders. This study aimed to find out whether the book already fulfils the criteria of a good textbook regarding its appropriateness and relevance to independent curriculum and CEFR. The instrument used in this study was an evaluation rubric developed by Cunningsworth. The data were analyzed through document analysis techniques. The results indicated that this textbook as a means of teaching and learning has shown good quality and is relevant to the current curriculum. The aims of this research was to find out the dominant of writing difficulties of the students’ difficultiesin writing argumentative essays on cognitive problems by Byrne (1988) and their causes by Graham and Harris in Glynn note this (2006). Using a purposive sample, students in the sixth-semester of the 2019/2020 academic year were selected as samples in this study. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires. In carrying out the research, researchers used an online platform to obtain instrument. The results showed that the dominant in writing difficulties of students’ difficulties in writing argumentative essays are content problems. This was evidenced by the finding of difficulties in students’ argumentative essay categorized by Guttman scale. Content problems get very bad category, which means there are only 2 out of 12 the sixth semester English education students who have good ability on content problems in writing argumentative essays. The causes of students’ difficulties in writing argumentative essays on cognitive problems at the sixth semester of English educational department in PGRI University of Banyuwangi are the lack of knowledge, lack of an effective strategy, and lack of proficiency. Figurative language is commonly used in song lyrics to enhance the depth, emotion, and impact of the song. The research aims to identify the use of hyperbole in the album "One Thing At A Time" by Morgan Wallen and to analyze the meaning of the hyperbole found in the songs. The data collection involves several steps, including listening to the songs, reading scripts, and categorizing hyperbolic expressions within the lyrics. The collected data was then analyzed descriptively using a qualitative method. The theory by Knickerbocker and Reninger (1963) was applied to identify the hyperbole in the song lyrics, and the theory by Leech (1981) was used to interpret the meaning. The results showed that there were ten data of hyperbole found in five songs by Morgan Wallen. This research article employed a qualitative research method with an inductive approach to explore the phenomenon of using the TikTok video as a tool for learning English. The respondents were 47 students of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan (STIKes) Banyuwangi who are taking English subjects in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year from 4 study programs, namely D3 Nursing, D4 of Medical Laboratory Technology, Bachelor of Nursing, and Bachelor of Midwifery. The data collection used an observation sheet, a questionnaire, and an in-depth interview. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with participants to gather detailed insights into their motivations, experiences, and strategies for using TikTok videos for English acquisition. Thematic analysis techniques were used to identify patterns, themes, and categories that emerged regarding using TikTok videos. The results showed that students used TikTok for various language learning purposes, including improving listening, speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation skills. Additionally, most students admit that TikTok helps them expand their vocabulary and understand grammatical structures in context. Despite challenges such as distraction from non-educational content and variations in the quality of educational content, many students recommend using TikTok for learning English. This research&nbsp; discussed&nbsp; about&nbsp; types, meaning and most dominant word&nbsp; formation in script of Ford v Ferrari movie. This research based on George Yule (2020) theory of word formation which used 11 types, they are: borrowing, compounding, blending, clipping, hypocorisms, backformation, conversion, coinage, acronyms, derivation and multiple process. This research was descriptive qualitative method. The data&nbsp; were taken from scipt of Ford v Ferrari movie. The researcher found 203 words in script of Ford v Ferrari movie, in which they are categorized into 8 types of word formation. They are: 58 words of compounding, 39 words of derivation, 38 words of blending, 30 words of coinage, 21 word of acronyms, 8 words of borrowing, 8 words of clipping and 1 word of hypocorisms. From&nbsp; the 11 types according to George Yules theory, the researchers found 8 types out of them. Meanwhile, the 3 types are never found in the script. Learning English pronunciation can help students to pronounce words and sentences correctly. Clear pronunciation makes it easy for students to understand and produce intelligible sounds, therefore pronunciation learning has become an important aspect in teaching. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The result showed that the best implementation of cartoon videos was proven to improve students’ pronunciation skills. In order to achieve the best implementation of cartoon video to improve students’ pronunciation skill, there were three factors that must be considered: Learning system, speech rate, and the students’ frequency in practicing pronunciation. Besides, the findings also showed that most of the students had a positive perception of the use of cartoon videos in learning pronunciation. Most of the students felt helped in learning pronunciation using cartoon videos. They also felt more interested and motivated in pronunciation learning process. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Total respondents of this reserach were 20 students consisting of 10 female and 10 male. The procedure of this study was that researchers give questionnaires consist of idel condition and real condition to the geopark ambassadors by using google form. The results of this study showed that: in ideal condition,students expected that the module must be interesting,easy to understand and based on their desires. In real condition, 17 students or about 85% of students answered "no" this proved that the ijen geopark module needs development of the content. The low of vocabulary scores of preliminary study obtained by dyslexic students. It encouraged this research. This research was conducted at Bianglala homeschooling Banyuwangi. There were two cycles to this Classroom Action Research. Three meeting in cycle 1, and two meeting in cycle 2. Three dyslexic students were the subjects of this research. The data was collected through a vocabulary test in multiple choice form. The test consist of 10 items of abstract noun and concrete noun. The results showed that the students’ test scores in cycles I and II increased significantly. The students’ achievement in cycle I was 66.6% who achieved the minimum criterion, but in cycle II, it increased to 100% who passed the minimum criterion. In addition, the minimum score was reached. From cycle I to cycle II, students’ vocabulary increased. The students’ vocabulary mastery improved from cycle I to cycle II, according to the findings. This involves analyzing the Fenty Beauty foundation advertising poster employing the semiotic field. The descriptive qualitative approach was chosen in this research, and the aims of this research to identify the icon, index, and symbol in Fenty Beauty's foundation advertising poster, and to determine the relationship between signs and the beauty diversity issue in Fenty Beauty's foundation advertising poster. To figure out the answer, the researcher applies a semiotic theory by Charles Sanders Peirce to examine five Fenty Beauty foundation advertising posters. Purposive sampling was used as the data gathering strategy to assess the eight Fenty Beauty foundation advertising posters. Based on the results of this research, the messages contained in all posters can influence individuals to purchase Fenty Beauty's foundation. Fenty Beauty attempts to bring out the theme of beauty diversity in their advertising posters by including models with various skin tones, ethnicities, and religions. The purpose of this research was to find the student’ ability in identifying vocabulary mastery in prefix and suffix. Students at SMK Telekomunikasi Genteng are the population. The researcher chose the second grade students of Teknik Transmisi Jaringan Department as the sample in this research. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The instrument used in this research was a multiple choice test. The results showed that the students’ ability in identifying students’ vocabulary mastery in prefix is “good“, categorized with a total of 65,8. The results of students’ ability in identifying students’ vocabulary mastery in suffix is “average” categorized with a total 58,3. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that students at SMK Telekomunikasi, especially the second grade of Teknik Transmisi Jaringan Department, have a “good” category in prefix, it means the students have already understood about some prefix vocabularies. The majority of correct prefix vocabularies place at multiple choice test number 1,9,17 such as: Exchange, input, interconnect. Furthemore, the result of suffix is “average” category, it means the students less of understanding about suffix. The English teachers' competence, especially in conducting technology-assisted teaching and learning activity is a crucial aspect for ensuring a successful English language instruction. The present study analyzed the level of the English teachers’ competence in technology-assisted teaching from the students’ perspectives. This study also explored whether or not the students would be motivated by technology-assisted learning. The data were collected through surveys, interviews, and observations. The findings revealed that both teachers’s competence and the students’ motivation were categorized as high. This study also confirmed a positive correlation between teacher competence in technology-assisted teaching and student motivation. However, this correlation was at a moderate level suggesting that other factors might influence the students’ motivation.
