Increasing Students' Economic Independence Through Economic Security-Based Entrepreneurship at Ibnu Sina Banten High School

Margaluyu Village, Banten faces several social and economic problems, including students dropping out of school due to the loss of their parents' livelihoods, motivation to go to school, and students having difficulty finding work after graduating. To overcome these challenges, entrepreneurship training based on economic security is needed, with the aim of creating economic independence for students and the local community. This village has great agricultural and plantation potential, but marketing of agricultural products is limited due to dependence on middlemen. Through a business incubation program, students are expected to develop skills in optimally utilizing agricultural products, managing businesses, and selling products using social media such as Instagram and TikTok. SMA Ibnu Sina was chosen as a model school for this program, with a focus on entrepreneurship education which is expected to equip students with practical skills and build an entrepreneurial spirit. This program also involves students as part of the MBKM program, which aims to strengthen academic relationships with the community and increase sensitivity to local problems. The main objective of this service is to help SMA Ibnu Sina students in Margaluyu Village develop the local economy and create new business opportunities, as well as support increasing students' economic independence through sustainable entrepreneurship practices.

Mental Training for Athletes in Achieving Maximum Performance

Preparing athletes to be ready for competitions needs to be done as early as possible through systematic mental training procedures and processes, which take a considerable amount of time. The goal of training is to achieve performance. To achieve maximum performance, physical, technical, tactical, and mental abilities are required. These four elements are inseparable. Sometimes athletes already have good physical, technical, and tactical conditions, but experience a mental decline during competition. Observing this phenomenon, it is important to implement mental training in facing competitions. Mental training plays a significant role for athletes to prepare strong mental readiness, especially in facing competitions. Mental training involves all aspects of psychology in dealing with various pressures during competitions. There are three mental training techniques that need special attention according to practical needs in athlete training to face competitions. Proper mental training is necessary to enhance good mental quality for athletes. It is hoped that through this mental training, athletes can achieve their best performance. From this activity, it can be concluded that a champion's mentality is a skill possessed by someone, where this skill is not obtained or brought from birth, but is formed due to the influence of the surrounding environment and the athlete's own will. It can be concluded that mental training plays a significant role for athletes to prepare strong mental readiness, especially in facing competitions.

Workshop on Teaching Module Development on Merdeka Curriculum in Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High Schools, Toba District, Sanggau Regency

The purpose of this workshop and mentoring program in general is to support government programs related to the Implementation of Merdeka Curriculum. The specific objectives are: 1) participants' understanding of the teaching modules in the independent curriculum; 2) participants' understanding of the profile of Pancasila students in the independent curriculum. This activity was carried out in the form of in service for 4 days, namely from Monday to Thursday, January 24 to 28, 2024. This activity was carried out in SD, SMP, SMA Toba Sanggau Regency. The outputs of this activity include softcopy and hardcopy of the results of service activities. Some supporting materials that need to be informed and discussed by participants as refresher material for those who have received from other sources, increase knowledge for those who do not have it, expand the horizons of knowledge for those who want to develop themselves. The materials are: Teaching Materials, Flow of Learning Objectives, Profile of Pancasila Students, Assessment, Follow-up Evaluation of Merdeka Curriculum. Participants in this service activity are all teachers involved in MGMP at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels in the Toba sub-district of Sanggau Regency. The number of teachers who participated in this activity from the beginning to the end of the activity amounted to approximately 100 MGMP teacher participants in Toba District, Ketapang Regency. The result of this service activity is the formation of a draft teaching material on the independent curriculum approved by MGMP in SD, SMP, SMA Toba, Sanggau Regency. Furthermore, the real result is the ease of access for teachers in managing teaching materials and the continuous collaboration between MGMP teachers in Toba sub-district and mathematics education lecturers at FKIP Tanjungpura University. The product obtained is a set of teaching materials on the independent curriculum suitable for school teachers and published in a publication article to an accredited national journal.

Innovative Training on HOTS Learning and Digital-Based Literacy and Numeracy Question Development

Understanding Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is crucial for elementary school teachers to develop students' critical, creative, and analytical thinking abilities. However, many teachers still face challenges in designing HOTS-based learning and developing science literacy and numeracy questions that are relevant to real-world contexts. This study aimed to provide training for teachers in V Koto Kampung Dalam District, Pariaman, in designing HOTS-based learning and digital-based science literacy and numeracy assessments. The method included pre-test, material presentation, post-test, and guided assignments. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers' understanding and skills, with the average pre-test score for HOTS-based learning increasing from 60.43 to 80, and the average score for developing science literacy and numeracy questions rising from 70 to 90 after the training. These findings highlight the importance of continuous training to enhance teachers' competencies in preparing students to face the challenges of the 21st century

Simawang has a population of 8,251 people, consisting of 4,014 men and 4,237 women and 1,968 households consisting of 8 jorong, namely: Ombilin, Padang Data, Darek, Baduih, Koto Gadang, Pincuran Gadang, Batu Limbak and Piliang Bendang. Simawang with its strategic location on the highway is one of the places that attracts tourists, due to the many destinations and natural tourist attractions, cultural arts and culinary delights that are very interesting in this village.

The implementation of this PKM activity is basically aimed at improving and increasing the community's economy by increasing community insight and knowledge regarding management, administration, promotion, management, marketing, utilization of technology in the development of the tourism sector, cultural arts and culinary. The target of this PKM activity is to improve and develop the potential of natural tourism through sports tourism, ecotourism, local cultural arts and culinary specialties of the Simawang village.

Community service activities or partnerships include; recruitment of participants, implementation of training activities, coaching, guidance and development of activities using the Participation Actions Learning System (PALS) method, real development by tourism managers through partner participation in training and coaching and evaluation of activities. This PKM program was initiated digitally-android with the aim of making the community more effective in promoting tourism, cultural arts and regional culinary specialties based on android in the Simawang village area, Rambatan sub-district, Tanah Datar district using mobile phones, laptops and other media.

Empowering Cibuntu Village: Continuous Training and Assessment For Asean's Best Homestay Excellence

Cibuntu Tourism Village, located in Cirebon, West Java, is a village rich in natural, cultural, and culinary potential, and it boasts homestays that have previously received ASEAN-level awards. The aim is to assess and provide ongoing training to improve the quality of homestays in Cibuntu Village, with the hope of reclaiming the title of the best homestay at the ASEAN level. The methods used include presentations, assessments through Q&A sessions, direct observations, and facility evaluations. A comprehensive assessment was conducted on ten homestays based on two aspects: local wisdom and service quality. The results revealed that three out of the ten homestays assessed met the high criteria and were deemed worthy of being re-nominated for the ASEAN competition. The assessment scores of these three homestays were nearly identical, indicating the very high quality of each homestay. These findings suggest that the homestays in Cibuntu Village have great potential to compete at the international level with only minor adjustments through training. This community service initiative is hoped to provide continuous training, improve homestay service quality, and strengthen Cibuntu Village’s position as a leading tourism destination in sustainable homestay management.

An essential training for vocational high school students is the development of a curriculum vitae (CV) and preparation for job interviews. This program is highly advantageous for SMK Tunas Harapan students and is a community service initiative designed to enhance their preparedness for the professional realm. The execution of this program arises from the imperative for vocational high school graduates to acquire the competencies necessary for crafting an appealing CV and effectively preparing for job interviews, since they represent the preliminary stages toward workforce entry. This training comprises two primary sessions. The initial session addresses proficient CV composition strategies and best methods for emphasizing talents and experience. The second session addresses employment interview preparation, encompassing effective communication strategies, professional demeanor, and responses to frequently asked interview questions. This workshop includes an interview simulation to provide students with practical experience. This training has effectively enhanced students' confidence in crafting CVs and preparing for job interviews. We anticipate that SMK Tunas Harapan students will be more competitive and prepared to confront challenges in the workforce with the skills they have learned.

Interactive Learning Program in Character Building for Elementary School Students

This activity method, namely using interactive, has proven to be effective in building student character because it is able to create a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. By providing relevant experiences and touching the emotional aspects of students, this program helps them understand the importance of values such as honesty, discipline, and tolerance in everyday life. The results of this community service show that the Interactive Learning Program in Character Building for students of Elementary School 3 Katobengke has succeeded in increasing the understanding and application of character values among students. Through activities involving collaboration, simulation, and reflection, students not only understand character concepts such as responsibility, cooperation, and honesty, but also apply them in everyday life. The evaluation conducted showed positive changes in students' attitudes, both at school and at home, as well as an increase in their motivation to continue developing good character. The method used consists of three main stages: first, training and workshops to provide an understanding of the importance of branding, attractive packaging design, and the use of digital marketing; second, assistance in implementing the branding and packaging design strategies that have been learned, as well as the use of social media for promotion; third, product evaluation and promotion through market trials and various marketing channels, such as social media, local bazaars, and online marketplaces. The results of this activity showed that the training participants were very enthusiastic and gained new insights that were relevant to current market needs. Business actors are now better prepared to face market challenges, take advantage of digital opportunities, and introduce breadfruit chips products as quality local products. With this assistance and training, it is hoped that the breadfruit chips business can grow more rapidly and be known more widely, both in the local market and the larger market.

Empowerment of Semampir Village in Kediri City Through Optimization of Traditional Sports Ecoedu Towards an Ecoedu Sport Tourism Destination

One of the attractions is a playground called riverside Semampir Village, Kediri City. Apart from its beautiful nature, Semampir Village is also rich in art and culture spread across various hamlets, and has traditional games which are part of local wisdom. The aim of this service activity is to encourage the development of Semampir Village as an Ecoedu Sport Tourism destination by optimizing the potential of traditional sports. The methods used in this service are Service Learning and CIPP, which aim to help partners solve problems faced in the tourism sector. Some of the activities that have been carried out include: 1) Literature study regarding traditional sports as part of Ecoedu Sport Tourism based on SWOT analysis, 2) Reintroduction of traditional games to children in Semampir Village, 3) Socialization and training of traditional sports, and 4) Focus group discussion (FGD) about tourist villages. The results achieved include: 1) Preparation of a joint commitment working paper between Semampir Village stakeholders as well as the results of the village SWOT analysis, and 2) Increasing the capacity of Pokdarwis and tourism managers in recognizing various types of traditional sports. Mentoring Local Tour Guides to Improve English Language Skills in Sade Hamlet, Nusa Tenggara Barat

The Community Service Program (PKM) in Sade Hamlet, Rembitan Village, NTB, was implemented to mitigate the negative impact of the "Scamming Village" phenomenon that went viral on social media. This issue has tarnished both local and national tourism images, while also undermining the confidence of local tour guides in the destination. The primary goal of this PKM was to enhance English language skills and restore the motivation of local tour guides. Over a period of two years, from 2023 to 2024, 53 local tour guides were mentored using the Before-After method and a flexible mingling technique, allowing training schedules to adapt to participants' work hours. The program was further strengthened by introducing the work motto: "Sade Tourist Local Guide, SMART AND RELIABLE," aimed at fostering confidence and professionalism. The results showed a significant increase in learning motivation, reflected in participants' enthusiasm and attendance during the mentoring sessions, as well as improved English language proficiency in serving tourists. However, challenges such as limited English vocabulary, ineffective communication strategies, inadequate facilities, and time constraints remain. For future PKM activities, it is recommended to focus on enriching vocabulary and enhancing communication strategies, along with providing adequate facilities and more flexible learning schedules, including informal mentoring programs outside of working hours.

Workshop on Marketing and Development of Processed Product in Kampung Susu Lawu, Magetan, East Java

Despite having adequate infrastructure, local communities face challenges in diversifying products and increasing sales turnover. This study aims to overcome these obstacles through a structured mentoring program, including training in processing technology and digital marketing strategies. The method used in this community service is participatory, actively involving the community in every stage of product development. Training in processing technology and digital marketing has succeeded in significantly increasing the knowledge and skills of participants. The results of the study show that mentoring has not only succeeded in improving product quality and marketing capacity, but has also had a positive impact on the income and standard of living of the Kampung Susu Lawu community. However, several challenges such as resistance to change and limited access to technology still need to be overcome. To ensure long-term sustainability, stronger collaboration with external stakeholders and policy support that supports wider market access are important. This study emphasizes the importance of a participatory approach and ongoing support in community empowerment to support local economic development.

Saneo Tourism Village Management (Institutional) Training-Community Coaching Approach on Sustainability

This service method is to provide training to twenty participants with significant increased success results with an average increase of 85%. Community training programs on sustainability have increased Saneo village residents' awareness and involvement in sustainable practices as well as understanding of tourism village organizations. However, this program needs to be improved by considering constraints such as agricultural activities and implementation time. This training succeeded in increasing the institutional knowledge of tourism stakeholders in the village. To further perfect the program, it is necessary to coordinate the implementation time and intensity of tourism stakeholder meetings to improve the quality of tourism human resource development activities in the Saneo Tourism Village.

Community service activities (PKM) carried out in Ogan Ilir Regency were initiated as an answer to the needs of the local community to develop tourism potential by empowering the community through skills training and counseling. The main objective of this PKM is to increase the income and quality of life of local communities by introducing new techniques in tourism management and other supporting skills. The implementation method consists of four stages: first, initial meetings with local governments to explain objectives and build cooperation; second, field survey to collect data through observation and interviews; third, data analysis to compile a thematic map of tourism potential; fourth, Forum Group Discussion (FGD) to present the results and obtain input. The results of these activities show a significant increase in community knowledge and skills regarding tourism management. The community is now more ready to take advantage of local tourism potential which is expected to increase their income and quality of life. Implementation of recommendations from PKM is expected to make a positive contribution to tourism development and community welfare in Ogan Ilir Regency.

The methods used in implementing community service are counseling, training and mentoring through presentations of materials delivered by the community service team. The main topics of community service include training on cooperative governance. Then a discussion was held with participants guided by a moderator through face-to-face meetings. Feedback was carried out with a questionnaire filled out by all members of PMKM Prima Indonesia who participated in community service activities. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of community service both during face-to-face meetings and through questionnaires showed that community service participants expressed satisfaction with this activity, and the purpose of community service was achieved where participants felt they had received benefits in the form of increased knowledge, understanding of MSME governance.

By referring to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, this PKM initiative seeks to minimize negative impacts on the environment and culture, while ensuring sustainable economic benefits for local communities. Pre-test and post-test methods were used to evaluate the effectiveness of training in increasing understanding and application of sustainable ecotourism principles among local residents. The evaluation results show significant improvements in various aspects of ecotourism management, including community involvement, environmental conservation, economic benefits, environmental education and awareness, tourism product development, tourist satisfaction, resource management, leadership and management, as well as the application of innovation and technology. This training not only increases understanding and practice related to ecotourism, but also strengthens the role of communities as agents of change. By improving local skills and knowledge, this PKM activity aims to create a better, more sustainable and globally competitive tourism ecosystem, while protecting the local environment and culture. Managers and communities in the Eco-City Bintaro Jaya Housing Estates, South Tangerang, face challenges in implementing smart and sustainable living principles in order to build harmonious relationships with the community living around the housing estates. The counselling activity aims to increase awareness of waste management, cleanliness, and maintenance of the quality of parks and green open spaces, as well as to encourage the implementation of harmonious living principles by striving for a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment in a sustainable manner. The counselling began by greeting the invitees, namely 20 adult residents around Jalan Elang, Blok HG, followed by remarks and presentations of material by experts (PKM IPT Lecturer Team). The material was delivered through interactive presentations and questions and answers. The activity continued with practical simulations, such as demonstrations and explanations of environmental maintenance and role play of host ethics, to explain the practical application of knowledge. The counselling carried out by the Trisakti Tourism Institute Lecturer Team at the Eco-City Bintaro Jaya Housing Estates succeeded in increasing participants' understanding of smart living. Although there were initial challenges, namely the lack of structured knowledge about simple environmental management and smart living procedures, all participants after receiving counseling understood the good and correct way of waste management, cleanliness, garden maintenance, and the ethics of welcoming guests. The community is advised to apply the principles of sustainable environmental management and collaborate with related parties to create a cleaner and more harmonious environment

Mojokerto, a city in East Java rich in history and culture, has a number of fascinating museums. These museums are silent witnesses to the glory of the past and a window for us to peek into the civilization that has developed in the land of Java. Mojokerto is known for its rich cultural heritage and history, but its potential as a tourist destination is still underutilized due to the lack of quantity and quality of skilled museum guides. With a better visiting experience, organized and informative narratives, it is hoped that more people will be interested in visiting museums in Mojokerto and participating in supporting the preservation of the history and culture of the Indonesian nation. This PKM uses in-depth interviews with 10 museum guides who have undergone training and informant observations of training activities and their implementation in the field. The findings in this PKM activity show a significant increase in guide skills, historical knowledge, and visitor guiding techniques, resulting in a better visitor experience in the museum. This PKM ends with recommendations to improve community service programs aimed at developing local human resources in sustainable heritage tourism. This PKM examines the impact of community service initiatives organized by lecturers at Ciputra University Surabaya, with a focus on museum guide training in Mojokerto, East Java.

Training in Sago-Based Food Processing as An Effort To Strengthen The Community Economy in The District of Nabire, Central Papua Province

Nabire Regency faces high poverty of 23.90% in 2022 and stunting of 22.2% in 2023, even though it has abundant natural resources. PKM activities aim to improve housewives' skills in processing sago, increase awareness of food diversification, and create new business opportunities, to improve the community's diet and economic independence. The activity, which was carried out in Nabire Regency on 26-29 January 2022, involved 30 housewives from several villages in six groups. The implementation phase was carried out for two days, participants received theory about hygiene and sanitation, followed by freezing and practice in making sago dishes. Evaluation is carried out through pre-tests, post-tests and practical competitions, with prizes for the best participants. PKM activities in Nabire Regency succeeded in increasing the community's knowledge and skills in processing sago through two days of training. Participants learned sago processing techniques and the importance of hygiene and sanitation, with evaluations showing significant increases in knowledge. All groups scored above 70 in cooking practice, and prizes were awarded to the best participants. However, challenges such as limited practice time and equipment emerged, as well as recommendations for improving facilities and providing transportation for future participants.

Leadership Capacity Building: A Strategic Approach to Promoting Heritage Tourism in Perigi Village, East Lombok

From 2023 to 2024, a strategic initiative was carried out by the community service team of Politeknik Pariwisata Lombok to develop leadership capacity and revitalize cultural heritage tourism in Perigi Village, Limbungan, East Lombok. Twenty young adults were trained in organizational leadership and work skills through workshops to foster community-based tourism. The training included team collaboration, tourism management, product development, halal certification, and digital marketing. This initiative led to the establishment of a tourism awareness group (POKDARWIS), officially recognized by the East Lombok Tourism Office, and created an integrated management system for the tourism team in Perigi Village. Participants were encouraged to explore tourism potentials, especially in Limbungan Traditional Village, as tourist attractions by showcasing the history and customs of the Sasak Tribe. However, the sustainability of the POKDARWIS needs attention, particularly in terms of team communication, operations, participation, and market exposure. Therefore, the strategy implemented includes ongoing communication and monitoring through social media discussion groups and appointing responsible individuals for each division. With this strategy, it is expected that the management can work more actively and efficiently in developing tourism in Perigi Village.

This service shows that the development of traditional and recreational sports can increase people's motivation to participate in sports activities, which is the core of the program. One strategy that can be implemented is through training and outreach through community sports management applications packaged in the form of community sports festival activities in traditional games, traditional archery, dance, tera gymnastics and kite flying. This community service shows that understanding and implementing activities through this community sports tournament management application can increase the human resource competency of KORMI Trenggalek Regency partners in developing and providing community sports services to the community, especially implementing easy community sports tournaments with digital applications. The community service project addressed the main issue of insufficient understanding of healthy physical activity and lack of exercise guidance for pregnant women in the community of Sudimara Village, Banyumas Regency. The primary objective was to enhance knowledge and increase physical activity among pregnant women. The methods used included education through audio-visual media, assistance with pregnancy exercise routines, and follow-up activities to ensure the sustainability of these practices. The results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women after receiving the education. However, there were also hindering factors such as limited time and available resources, and some participants experienced a decline in attitude despite the education provided.

Stunting is a problem that requires joint efforts. Stunting is a growth disorder due to chronic malnutrition that can have long-term impacts on children's physical health and cognitive development. Kalijirak Village, Tasikmadu, Karanganyar, Central Java, faces this challenge with a significant prevalence of toddler stunting. To address this problem, the village health TV program was launched as one of the intervention efforts. This program aims to increase public awareness and knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, and good sanitation, especially for pregnant women and children during the first thousand days of life. Village health TV is an effective communication medium to disseminate health information to the community, especially in areas difficult for health workers to reach. This program educates families about stunting prevention through informative and practical videos adapted to local conditions. With a community-based approach, this program is expected to reduce the prevalence of stunting and improve the health of toddlers in the village, ultimately impacting future generations' quality of life.

Digital technology is indispensable and vital nowadays. The swift advancement of information technology in today's globalized society necessitates that individuals possess the capability to effectively employ technology. This is equally pertinent to the younger generation or students. Educational institutions must combine entrepreneurial education with digital technology into their curriculum and include components of extracurricular activities. This community service initiative involves Tunas Harapan Vocational High School as the partner. Additionally, the challenge within this community service involves fostering student enthusiasm for engaging in business activities or entrepreneurship, educating SKM Tunas Harapan students on utilizing the Canva digital platform for commercial purposes, and offering training to enable students to design for entrepreneurial or business endeavors. The training session had 10 students and 2 instructors as participants. Moreover, the training techniques employed in this community service initiative include lectures, question-and-answer sessions, debates, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The outcomes of the exercise demonstrate that students at Tunas Harapan Vocational School have improved their knowledge and abilities.

Evaluation in physical education often faces obstacles, such as time constraints and the complexity of measuring students' motor skills. Active Motor Card is presented as an innovative solution that can simplify the assessment process and provide accurate and structured results. This activity involves intensive training for PJOK teachers to understand the concepts, techniques for using and implementing evaluations using the Active Motor Card in the school environment. The methods used include theoretical presentations, direct practice, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed that teachers felt better prepared to carry out comprehensive and accurate evaluations of students' motor skills. This is in accordance with the results of the pre-post test carried out by the teacher showing a significance level of <0.1. This program is expected to become a model for the development of physical education evaluation in various schools.

However, in the next few years, physical education is predicted to face challenges, especially in encouraging physical activity amidst the rapid advancement of technology that attracts students' attention. Independent Curriculum seeks to provide teachers with the freedom to innovate and adjust learning methods according to student characteristics. One of the relevant tools to achieve this goal is the Student Worksheet, which can be developed with a psychomotor design based on physical literacy. Methods used in this service are the lecture method, mentoring, and measurement of results. Results of this service emphasize the importance of compiling LKPD that not only focuses on basic movement skills such as balance and coordination, but also encourages students' reflection on their physical experiences. Practice session allows participants to design LKPD with the guidance of a facilitator, although some still face challenges in determining measurable physical literacy indicators. Discussion and practice help teachers understand the importance of holistic measurement in psychomotor learning. Reflections at the end of the session showed that teachers gained new insights into the benefits of physical literacy integration, which is expected to improve the quality of teaching and create an inclusive learning environment that supports students' comprehensive development.

Ideally physical education teachers have three main competencies in supporting student development. First, the ability to develop movement activities that aim to facilitate physical activity and maintain the health of students through an educational approach. Second, skills in developing non-academic achievements according to the talents and interests of students, both inside and outside the school environment. Third, the ability to develop and optimize the potential for student achievement in sports. Opportunities for students who have talent and ability in sports are increasingly open with the existence of various championship events at the regional and national levels. However, these opportunities are often not balanced with an increase in the coaching science competencies possessed by physical education teachers. Community service method uses the lecture method, mentoring, and measurement of results. Results of this community service explain that teachers are aware of the importance of developing a structured and effective training program, but they face obstacles such as limited sports facilities in schools and minimal knowledge of sports psychology. In addition, they also pay less attention to continuous evaluation in training and tend to use conventional training techniques. Therefore, this community service emphasizes the importance of advanced training to update their knowledge, as well as the need for a more flexible training approach that is tailored to the needs of individual students.
