There are many traditions that exist in Indonesia, all of which have their own characteristics in each region, such as the ruwatan tradition. Ruwatan is a tradition that is carried out to eliminate sengkala or bad things in a person. In modern times, the Javanese and the Using tribe still believe in the ruwatan tradition. But there is a difference in it. So that is what makes it unique in the ruwatan tradition. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the main sources consisting of traditional stakeholders (elders), community leaders and people being treated, while secondary data sources were obtained through documentation and literature study.
